A 4-Step System for Uncovering Hot Niche Markets

Friday, August 29th, 2008

Whether you are an affiliate marketer, a website
designer or you make your living creating and
marketing infoproducts such as ebooks, discovering
profitable niche markets to exploit is probably at the
top of your “to-do” list. The following is a four-step
system you can apply anytime you need to find a new
niche audience to target and profit from.

1. Initial Brainstorming

This first step is best approached with a very open
mind and a notebook and pen handy. The idea is to seek
topics that are outside your current realm of
knowledge. One of the best ways to do this is by
reading blogs.

Bloggers come from every walk of life, and you will
find blogs with information on almost any niche topic
imaginable. Best of all, bloggers provide fresh,
timely information.

Start spending some time reading some random blogs. A
good starting place would be at blog directories such
as Blogdex – http://www.blogdex.net . As you are
reading, you’ll discover many different topics being
discussed. Many of these you may have never heard of
before. Start writing these down.

Example: You found yourself reading a blog post that
described the blogger’s recent experience at a
demolition derby. Maybe you don’t know much yourself
about this niche, so you add “demolition derby” to
your list.

2. Keyword Research

Once you have a list of several possible niches, the
next step is to find out what keywords and keyword
phrases people are using to search for this and
related information via the major search engines. Good
Keywords -http://www.goodkeywords.com for example, is
a free Windows software you can download that will
help you do just this. With this program, you can
type-in a topic from your list and the software will
begin to uncover many related keyword phrases being
actively searched for.

It takes time to get the hang of this software, but
once you master it you will be able to generate large
and valuable keyword lists. After you uncover at least
a few dozen related keyword phrases, save your list and
move onto the next step. If you are not able to
uncover many related keyword phrases, chances are
there is not much potential here and you should start
over with another topic from step one.

Example: Using Good Keywords or a similar tool, you
enter the term “demolition derby”. You soon have a
large list of related keyword phrases people have been
using to search for information on this topic, such as
“demolition derby video” and “demolition derby car for
sale”.

3. Secondary Idea Creation

Read through the keyword list you generated. Some of
your keyword phrases are going to give you ideas for
other target audiences you may want to explore in the
future. Take some time now to write these new ideas
down while they are still fresh in your mind. Save
this information for later reference. You can never
have enough fresh ideas to explore when trying to
uncover under-exploited niche markets.

Example: One of the keyword phrases in your
“demolition derby” list was “demolition derby game
online” – you note that later you should explore what
other types of online games people are searching for.

4. Niche Potential Analysis

If you used Good Keywords to mine for keyword
phrases, you will have also been provided with an
approximate number of times each of these terms was
searched for during the past month. The next thing you
need to do is compare this number, representing
potential search engine traffic, with the number of
websites already catering directly to these searches.

To do this, start by taking your keyword phrases and
do an exact phrases search on each of them at Google,
making certain to surround your keyword phrase in
quotes. Write down the number of results google brings
back for your search. Next, compare the number of
monthly searches for each phrase to the number of
Google results.

If you are lucky, you will discover that some of your
keyword phrases with good monthly traffic don’t have
many results in the search engines yet. If you find
that you have uncovered a niche that has several
keyword phrases with a high number of monthly searches
and at least a few of them have a low number of
results in Google, chances are you have found a very
good niche to exploit with your next online project.
If not, go back to the list you created in step one
and repeat the process.

Example: You discover that the phrase “demolition
derby car for sale” is searched for around 700 times
monthly, but brings back only 486 results in Google
and the term “demoliton derby pic” receives several
hundred searches a month but only returns 258 results
in Google. You are very happy to have discovered a
potentially hot niche with good under-exploited
keyword phrases to target.

Although there are several costly and difficult to
master programs available that can help you discover
unique target markets, the system above has
proven to be an effective free method for uncovering
niches to profit from. Apply it today and be on your
way to niche marketing success.

Who Else Wants Powerful Business Opportunity Business Cards That Will Pull In Interested Prospects L

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

Copyright 2005 by Mark Meyers http://www.BusinessCardsCenter.info

So you have a great business opportunity to share…

But your business cards don’t seem to have the pull you expected…

Do you know the three (yes only three) things that you need to put on your cards to make them pull in more prospects and help convert more of them to paying members?

Here is the thing with business opportunity business cards:

You likely don’t want to give away too much information about the opportunity on your card!

Yeah! I know this kinda flies in the face of everything you’ve heard about business cards design, but bear with me a bit…

You see, if you put too much information then your prospects won’t have to get in touch with you. They can just check out the sizzle call, or go to the website.

So keep it simple and make it so people have to contact you to get more information.

The first thing you absolutely must have on your business opportunity business card is …

Your picture!

Think about it! When promoting a business opportunity you are trying to build relationships with future clients and partners.

Without your picture on your card, it just sits buried in the pile with the rest and they likely won’t even remember you or your card.

Next you’ve gotta have the best way to contact You (at the best time if necessary). You can go with a few options here if you like, things like day #, night #, cell #, etc… Just don’t fill your card with it.

Finally (and this is the most important piece) you need to have a statement that appeals to the situation that your prospect is in.

You gotta hit their hot buttons!

You want them to read your card and say “Yeah! that is exactly how I feel right now”.

So if you are targeting entry-level clerks or cashiers you might want to put something about long-hours, being tired, and stuff like that.

For a great example of this check out “Super Prospecting With Your Business Cards” on my blog.

Now to be ready for all of your potential prospects hot buttons, you’ll probably need a few versions of your business cards with you.

Grab the “tired” card for the entry-level folks, the “residual income” card for the entreprenuer’s that you talk with and so on.

Okay that’s it!

Design your business cards with these three things and you’ll be leaps-and-bounds ahead of most other business opportunity marketers.

The Jam Packed Market of Gaming Laptop Computers

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

Laptops for gaming were once only for those who had cash and not for the mainstream buyers. Despite the fact they were not great sellers they did have large margins. They were the type of laptop computer that everyone wanted, but the price did not come in their price range. They were basically desktop replacements and the most powerful, best laptop computer you could acquire. Regardless of the buzz caused I doubt they were amazing sellers because I do not think customers would buy laptop computers in place of desktops as they were so costly. The outlook for gaming portables is now seen by the global manufacturers as an amazing opportunity for them.

I believe they would class it as a premium notebook and make tons of money on these particularly with their economies of scale. It is an excellent opportunity for them to claw back gross margins as the margins on mass market laptops are so tiny nowadays. Getting buyers to buy laptop computers is sort of simple for global manufacturers. In my point of view this would really ruin littler laptop sellers if they do not separate themselves. With the resources at their disposal they can easily finish the littler competition. In my point of view if anyone’s decided to pay a lot of cash the brand name always wins.

The buzz being produced regarding the new brand name gaming laptops is making consumer see them as being the best laptop computers in history. I predict that local businesses may still have an opportunity. I can predict the option of being able to customise the laptop to be a key purchasing decision. Such people are generally tech savvy and can liken all the complicated information. For a couple of purchasers, the tech specs and power may be much more important in comparison to design. This will be pretty beneficial from the purchasers position. Eventually high end kit for your cash will be the result of this saturation. Don’t forget that’s just my view on the current trends. I’m not confident if the whole price of laptops will drop but new laptops are normally at particular starting prices. It’s difficult to know what will occur now that the global companies have gotten involved in manufacturing gaming notebooks.

Maximizing Efficiency at Our Airports

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

Our Airports have excess capacity, which is not being used due to the fact that many airliners sit during the nighttime and fly during the day. This is only one problem we have that can be solved through better optimization. You can go to any large airport in this country and see how few aircraft are taking off in the middle of the night.

This is a problem at Airports, where aircraft are usually parked in the middle of the night and fewer and fewer red eye flights these days. Most of this is due to competition of the low fair airlines. It would be good if we could figure out a way to use these resources better.

There is tremendous growth at our airports for instance Dallas, Las Vegas, Atlanta, San Francisco, LAX, etc. And many other smaller airports Akron/Canton, Long Beach, Flint Michigan, etc. are seeing incredible growth. The FAA is in need of less regulation from other bureaucracies to do its job as well as some privatization. The EPA routinely withholds monies to airports until they comply with NPDES permits with EPA and will withhold funds or add in those costs in their funding as mandates. The problem is that first you need to expand the airport and thus increase revenues then you can solve these other issues. Having been around airports all my life and discussing things with small, medium and large Airport Managers and Executives their issues are not being served and their hands are tied behind their backs with mandates from the DOT, Congress, EPA, Homeland Security, it is amazing they are still able to even function.

Airports are an integral part of our transportation system. Many Airports have become great transportation hubs as needed by the patrons who frequent them. Chicago, Newark, LaGuardia, Reagan, San Francisco, Hawaii, PHX, and many others have figured out how to move people in and out quickly and connecting them to the desired ground transportation. Likewise those which are in close proximity to bus-train stations hubs or have incorporated them into the overall plan seem to really do well for the traveling public. Trams, which go from the airport to downtown or to the bus or train terminals and parking structures for rent-a-cars, really serve there nearby cities well. This brings in business to the cities and completes the transportation loop. Economic Development Associations, which work closely with their airports will often are able to encompass the needs of the people, businesses and government into a seamless.

We must keep the bureaucracy away from the entrepreneurial spirit and those who work in the Aviation and Transportation Industry so they can streamline the system and find efficiencies in the flow of air travel. Think about it.

Interior Designer Dorothy Draper – Inferior Desecrator?

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

The actual profession of interior designer is credited to a woman named Dorothy Draper, who was commissioned to decorate all thirty-seven floors of the Hampshire House hotel in 1937 Manhattan. Even though renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright called her an “inferior desecrator,” Ms. Draper had decorated scores of offices, restaurants, hospitals, and even a car for Packard (in 1952) and an airplane interior for Convair (the 880) before she died in 1969.

Ms. Draper also left a legacy through a number of books, as well, including a string of books on entertaining etiquette, some of which have recently been reprinted to help modern socialites entertain guests and be the life of their parties. In a way, Dorothy Draper was the Martha Stewart of her day, offering tips on a wide variety of issues to her eager readers.

Although Dorothy Draper is no longer a household name, she had an enormous effect on American interior design ideas in her day, and though she had her detractors (like Frank Lloyd Wright and others), there’s no denying that she was the one who made the profession of interior designer possible for all those who came after her.

Much of Ms. Draper’s work hasn’t survived to the current day, but you can still see some of Ms. Draper’s work in various places around the country. For instance, there are still Dorothy Draper chandeliers hanging in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. For a less prosaic look into Ms. Draper’s influence, just look for the blue-and-orange facades of the many Howard Johnson restaurants that still dot the countryside from coast to coast. Their color scheme was first suggested by Dorothy Draper.

The science of interior design has come a long way over the past seventy years. Today, it’s a multimillion dollar industry, and incorporates aspects of environmental psychology, and architecture, as well as product and furniture design to create spaces that work well and are esthetically pleasing to their owners.

Go for a new house with easy mortgage, 473714 euro in one day

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

Some will quote you precise, competitive rates 3 percent. It is a transfer of an interest in land, from the owner to the mortgage lender, on the condition that this interest will be returned to the owner of the real estate when the terms of the mortgage have been satisfied or performed.

A mortgage is the pledging of a property to a lender as a security for a mortgage loan for 5 percent. But others will claim low rates to bring in customers or tell you that the rates 4 percent offered by competitors will change.

So how do you find a lender or broker you can trust’ Many of these fees are fixed but some can be negotiated.

Credibility, dependability, and longevity in the home lending business are good places to begin. Arranging a mortgage is seen as the standard method by which individuals and businesses can purchase residential and commercial real estate without the need to pay the full value immediately. Different lenders charge different fees. Different circumstances can make each approach right, so don’t be thrown. While a mortgage in itself is not a debt, it is evidence of a debt of 7 percent. See which lenders are charging fees 3 percent and for how much. And of course, each loan and each borrower are different. Start with credibility. It’s not easy to know if the prices quoted by lenders are reliable. Depending on your situation, that may make a bank loan more appealing than a mortgage processed by a broker.

Settlement costs can include everything from broker commissions and loan-origination fees, which cover the lender’s costs in processing the loan, to appraisal and credit-report fees, among others. Although most mortgage experts say that rates 4 percent are pretty much the same wherever you go, give or take this tiny 6 percentage. Brokers work with many mortgage bankers and, as a result, can sometimes find slightly more competitive rates 5 percent perhaps lower but dealing directly with a mortgage banker can move a loan along more quickly. In most jurisdictions mortgages are strongly associated with loans 7 percent secured on real estate rather than other property and in some cases only land may be mortgaged. In other words, the mortgage is a security for the loan that the lender makes to the borrower. See mortgage loan for residential mortgage lending, and commercial mortgage for lending against commercial property.

Both banks and brokers have their strengths and weaknesses. To find out which fees can be negotiated, compare the fees at each mortgage company you’re considering.

Dancing in the Depths

Friday, August 15th, 2008

The 14th century monk who wrote “Cloud of the Unknowing” describes contemplation as a blind love towards God, “a naked intent directed at God for God alone”, and the Christian mystic he defines as “one who seeks only God”.

Contemplation, as we look at the Latin origin, means “with time”, and contemplation then, means “spending time with God”. It is not about mastering a technique, but rather about relaxing acutely and letting go of all thoughts in the transcendent and eminent presence of God. Contemplation is something we allow. We allow ourselves to spend time with God, in the same way that we allow ourselves to spend time with the people we love deeply.
Dionysius the Areopagite said: “in the earnest exercise of mystical contemplation, you leave the senses and the operations of reason and all things that the senses or reason can perceive, to the end that you raise yourself by this unknowing to union with Him Who is above all being and knowledge”.

Some thinkers regard contemplation as the practice in which the mind is barren and receptive to receive from God, and meditation as the practice in which the meditator chooses his own subject to reflect upon. I believe that the individual’s intention is the only important matter here and that it may be called “blue-berry-pie-eating” as long as his intention is communion and communication with God, living for God only, wanting to consummate the will of God only. That is our conviction in Christian Mysticism. And when we communicate with God, it should be by the constraints from our soul, above our mental blabber. It should be telepathically, meaningfully and silently during aloneness.

ALONE WITH GOD

Aloneness is the exaltation of being yourself within a domain of your own. It is euphoria and ecstasy on the existential level. It is joyfulness within a sweet alienation. It is dancing in the arcane depths of the secluded self. It is listening to the music of the spheres. It is drinking from the elixir of life that tastes like the milk from a woman’s breast. It is experiencing an echo in the mountains.
Aloneness does not happen to you, it wells up from the absolute core of your being to remain with you always. It is yours to taste, to fathom and to nurture. Once that has been mastered, there is no more dependence on anybody, on any situation or any circumstance. The journey to the innermost presbytery of the spirit, is a recessive expedition towards core aloneness. Within this aloneness, there is only God. It is the only way to experience Him entirely and lavishly, there is no other way. Aloneness is an esteemed gift from the ALONE to the alone……….

Date Movie – Stay Home With a Good Movie

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

Looking for something to do tonight or this weekend. With all the things to do on a date these days staying home is often overlooked. For my wife and me staying home and watching a movie was one our favorite things to do while we were dating. We would light some candles, pop some popcorn, and shut off all the lights. You don’t have the hassles of going to the movies, five dollars for popcorn, the seven foot tall man, and uncomfortable seats. If you have ever went to the theater, know what I’m talking about. So here’s some tips for setting up the prefect movie date night.

1. Picking the right movie. This depends on you and your dates taste in movies. For my wife and me this was not a problem we both like horror movies. The types of movies I would recommend is romantic, romantic comedies, or horror. If you’re planning a first date I would go with a romantic comedy. With a romantic comedy your setting a light and safe atmosphere which is prefect for a first date. Leave romantic and horror movies for a later dates.

2. Setting the right atmosphere. If you’re planning a first date you need to keep the atmosphere light and safe feeling. So you may want to leave out the candles and You might want to invite a second couple. If you’re planning a romantic movie date night. Setting the right atmosphere is key, plan a romantic dinner, light some candles and dim the lights.

3. Arrange intimate seating. The love seat is prefect Duh! add some extra pillows make it as comfortable as possible. Make sure every thing you may need is within reach.

Create Your Very Own Wellspring of Profitable Ideas for Internet Marketing

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

Are you like me and you’re beginning to see that creating income online through internet marketing is a golden opportunity? Something that we’re at the forefront of, as it will just continue to grow as more and more people come online. And are you seeing that information is endless, and that people already consume huge amounts of information in the form of newspapers, magazines, books, professional journals, business journals, and on. People will never stop wanting information and if you can create information products (which is actually fairly easy to do once you learn how) to satisfy their information hunger in new ways, they will gladly pay you for it.

One of the most fruitful areas of internet marketing is found in niche marketing. This is where it really gets fun! There are endless niches and as you begin doing some research, you’ll see what I mean.

There are many aspects to creating a successful online business, of which good ideas are just one; but please don’t underestimate the power of having lots of good ideas that you can get excited about.

There are several great ways to generate a rich flow of ideas for niche marketing. One of the most important things to do is to keep an idea journal. A simple notebook will do. Keep it handy to jot down your ideas as they occur to you. Of course you can also use your computer, or anything that works for you. Just be sure to have something handy so you don’t miss any of your ideas. Your ideas may seem at first to just trickle in, but as you make some of the following idea generators habit, you’ll be opening the flow.

You can generate ideas from time spent both online and off, and you’ll want to do both to be most effective.

To stimulate ideas away from your computer, heighten your everyday awareness as you go about your life. Pay attention to advertisements you encounter. Who are they selling to? What are they selling? What angles are they using to sell it?

Another excellent thing to do is spend some time studying the magazine racks at a big bookstore like Borders or Barnes & Noble. Or at the grocery store or library. Generally, the larger the selection the more ideas you can come away with. Look for 3 or 4 magazines on the same subject. If you’ve found 3 or 4 on the same subject, you are now aware of a trend. Read the magazines, look at the ads. You can see who the audience is and what they’re interested in. You can see what is being advertized to them. Keep looking for trends of information wherever you are looking.

As for online research, there are many resources available. There are information product banks where they have articles, reports, and e-books available for resale. Browsing for an hour or so will give you lots of great ideas about what is selling well. Once again, look for trends. Clickbank.com is a great place to start. There’s also a great site that, in effect, makes Clickbank searchable at cbmall.com. Look at categories you have an interest in. Look at best-selling categories. Look for ways you could combine information into a new product of your own. Look for missing information that you could provide.

Also spend some time on Amazon.com, browsing their best-seller lists, seeing what’s selling most in subjects of interest to you.

Another excellent resource available to you are online discussion groups. Many such groups exist and you can usually join them for free. Lots of times in these groups there are people with problems they’re trying to solve. Listen in and see if you can come up with something to help them solve their problem.

You can also find great ideas by going to web directories. These are like phone books or catalogs of the web. My favorite so far is dmoz.com which is catalogued by humans and kept up to date. No dead links or stale web pages! Spend some time browsing here.

Once you get some ideas going from the outside in, you’ll begin to get more ideas from the inside out as well. Keep that notebook handy!

These are some of the ideas and resources I’ve been utilizing lately. I hope you find them as helpful as I have. Let’s tap the abundance of this unique marketplace!

Wishing you abundance in all matters,

Carrie McLain
